Boniface Reacts To Shock Omission From 2024 CAF Player Of The Year Shortlist

Boniface’s accomplishments last season include winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal with Leverkusen, finishing as a Europa League runner-up, scoring 21 goals, providing 10 assists, and featuring in 34 matches.
His performances earned him the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award and a place in the Team of the Season.

Reacting to the omission, Boniface took to X on Thursday, stating: “Rookie of the Season, Team of the Season. No worries, I no play AFCON. Na why I dey wait for memes d’or,” referring to his absence from the Africa Cup of Nations due to injury.
