EKO HOT BLOG reported earlier on Boris Johnson, the former UK Prime Minister’s allegation of being threatened by Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, and in response, the Russian government has risen to the occasion to debunk the accusations.
Following the BBC documentary series, “Putin vs. the West”, the British ex-Prime Minister, Boris Johnson was quoted in a commentary saying his life at one point during the conflict was threatened by Putin’s remark that was made directly at him.
The politician in the quote said:
“He threatened me at one point, and he said, ”Boris, I don’t want to hurt you but, with a missile, it would only take a minute” or something like that.”
In response to the trending report, the Russian government has released a formal statement debunking the authenticity of the allegations, accusing the former Prime Minister of lying.
The response comes courtesy of Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov in reaction to reporters who had requested a formal statement regarding the report.
According to Dmitry Peskov’s quote, Boris Johnson’s statement was an exaggeration as he claimed there were no missile threats.
“What Mr. Johnson said is not true. More precisely it’s a lie… There were no missile threats,” Peskov said.
As Russia and Putin continue to wage their war on the West, propaganda messages are being traded around, with the truth hiding in the middle of the regional politics being traded by member states of the two mighty regions of Europe.
