Presenting the award, the editor of the magazine, Justice Ojabolo said Juliana was awarded in recognition of her contribution to humanity and excellent performance in ministries of health and animal resources and fisheries development.
“After placing our interview with Juliana on our platform, and how she has transformed her former ministry, people were shocked that such a personality is coming from Borno.
“The belief outside there is that Borno is only about insurgency.
“As a woman, we believe she stands out as a role model to other women affirming that what a man can do, a woman can do better,” the editor said.
While receiving the award, Juliana said all credits go to her principal, the state governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, who only settles for the best.
“If the governor works round the clock, rarely spending the night at home or with his family, as members of his cabinet, what excuse do we have other than giving our people the best they deserve.
“The award is not for me alone but to all the staff we worked with, for without their support, nothing would be achieved,” the commissioner said.
She called on the staff of her ministry and the people of Borno to continue giving their support to her and the government to make the state a better place.
