EkoHotBlog learnt that the federal government’s four inter-agency committees on the resuscitation of the ailing and non-performing privatised enterprise has submitted their findings to the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Alex Okoh, last week.
Mr. Okoh, in a statement signed by the agency’s Head of Public Communications, Amina Othman, reiterated BPE’s commitment to collaborate with relevant agencies to resuscitate the moribund enterprises.

Mr Okoh also said that the government, through the National Council on Privatisation (NCP), had directed the BPE to investigate the causes of the poor performances of moribund enterprises.
In his words: “Also to proffer viable and acceptable solutions to resuscitating them to perform optimally, create employment, boost the economy and increase Gross Domestic Product (GDP) among other benefits”.
The discoveries of the boards would be divided between all partners to prod them to meet their authoritative goals and that of the Nigerian government’s, according to Okoh.
