The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri – Okunola has charged all Directors of Administration and Human Resource in the Lagos State Public Service to brace up for the challenges of modern public administration.
He addressed participants at the opening session of Year 2019 Retreat organised by the Public Service Office, Office of the Head of Service, for Directors in the Administrative and Human Resource Cadre, held at the Orchid Hotels, Lekki.
Muri-Okunola disclosed that in the ever-changing world of innovation and creativity, government officials must be equipped with relevant concepts of human management, especially as Lagos assumes the status of a Smart City.

He maintained that the theme of this year’s Retreat “Relevance of Directors of Administration and Human Resource in the Implementation of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda”, was deliberately chosen in tandem with the policy thrust of the present administration.
The HOS stressed that the PSO organised the retreat to ensure that Directors are imbued with relevant knowledge, skills and competencies essential to their efficiency and effectiveness in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities.
Muri-Okunola implored all the Directors to familiarise themselves with the agenda of the present administration, noting the need to recognise the fast-paced evolution of strategies and technologies in the work environment.
