BREAKING: 292 Evacuees In Saudi Arabia Land In Nigeria

The federal government on Wednesday announced that 292 Nigerians stranded in Saudi Arabia have landed in the country.

The flight conveying the 292 evacuees arrived yesterday at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, from Saudi Arabia.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, broke the news today on his official Twitter handle.

Onyeama disclosed that a large number of the returnees were nursing mothers and children.

He added that they have been taken to their hotels where  the they will undergo 14-day compulsory quarantine supervised by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,(NCDC).

In a related development, the minister has given the leeway to Nigerians in France, who intend to fly to Cotonou in the Benin Republic and then come into the country via its land border can do so.

He made this known during a briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja on Wednesday.
