3 Killed As Gunmen, Soldiers Engage In Fierce Gun Battle In Anambra [PHOTOS]

Three ‘unknown gunmen’ have been reportedly killed in Anambra following a gunmen battle with soldiers and police.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a combined team of police and military in Anambra State have neutralised three members of the so-called ‘Unknown Gunmen’ group during a gun battle.

According to POLITICS NIGERIA, the incident took place on Wednesday evening at Umunze town in Orumba South Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State.

The criminals first opened fire on the security agents but were taken by surprise by the operatives’ superior firepower. The incident happened around 4:30 pm.

The neutralised lawbreakers were believed to be part of the criminal gangs terrorising and killing innocent people in the state.

At the time of filing this report, Anambra Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu could not be reached for comments.

But one of the senior police officers in the Command confirmed the incident to the press.
