EKO HOT BLOG reports that Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor at Kyiv’s interior ministry, claimed on Telegram that Ukrainian forces killed Russian Major General Oleg Mityaev during intense fighting on the outskirts of the south-eastern city of Mariupol on Wednesday.
Fourth Russian general Major General Oleg Mityaev has been killed by Ukrainian resistance forces in the besieged city of Mariupol.

He was eliminated by Ukrainian National Guard’s regiment Azov, which defends Mariupol.
Seven members of an elite SWAT squad under Vladimir Putin’s direct control were also revealed to have died.
General Oleg Mityaev, 47, was the commander of the 150th motorized rifle division of the Russian army.
Kyiv released a photo of the body of Oleg Mityaev.
Moscow has not confirmed the death.
Three other Russian generals have earlier been killed, amid reports that Russia has lost 40 percent of its combat units sent to Ukraine since 24 February.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed the death of another Russian general during his nightly address from Kyiv but didn’t name him.
Russia is believed to have about 20 Major Generals in Ukraine leading the invasion.
