BREAKING: Abducted Sunday Igboho’s Wife, Aides Regain Freedom

The wife and some aides of the Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho have regained freedom from the unknown gunmen who abducted them at the residence of the rights activist in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, in the early hours of Thursday.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that some of the abducted victims were released by the gunmen in Ekiti State.

Those who were released include Igboho’s wife, his aides, and the children of his boys.

It was further learnt that they were given N20,000 to board vehicles to Ibadan.

It was, however, gathered that the unknown gunmen failed to release Lady K and six other boys.

Operatives of the Nigerian Army and Department of State Security (DSS) were alleged to have carried out the attack on Thursday.

Speaking, one of the released victims disclosed that the assailants headed towards the Iwo Road axis of Ibadan where the soldiers came down from the vehicle and the DSS operatives headed towards Ekiti State.

The released victim further disclosed that the gunmen disembarked her, other women, and the children and continued their journey with Sunday Igboho’s boys.

She said, “The DSS felt reluctant to release a lady blogger and other six boys while in Ekiti State. The corpses of five people who were allegedly killed by men of the DSS and soldiers have been deposited at a particular mortuary in Ekiti State.

“After we had alighted, they gave us N20,000 for fare to Ibadan. They did not beat us and they did not maltreat us throughout the journey in the DSS operational vehicles,” the released victim disclosed.
