The abducted professor with the Department of Medical Microbiology, University of Jos (UNIJOS), Grace Ayanbimpe, has regained freedom.
The professor, who was kidnapped with her husband, was released on Monday night, hours after the abduction.
EKO HOT BLOG had earlier reported that the victims were on Monday kidnapped by unknown gunmen who invaded their residence behind Haske Quarters, Lamingo in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Confirming their release on Tuesday morning, the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ubah Gabriel Ogaba, said the victims were rescued unhurt.
Ogaba added that the rescue was aided by hunters and vigilante group in the area.
“With the Concerted effort of the Police Tactical Team, Plateau State Command, hunters and vigilantes, the kidnapped victims, Prof Grace Ayanbimpe and her husband, Mr. Isaac Ayanbimpe were released unhurt,” he said.
