BREAKING: Abducted Wife Of Former Edo Speaker Released
Hassana, the wife of former Edo Speaker, Zakawanu Garuba, who was abducted along the Lokoja-Abuja highway on Saturday, has been released.
Ekohotblog reported that in the earlier hours of Saturday, July 18, 2020, the speaker’s wife was headed to her husband’s burial in Auchi alongside her three children, and late husband’s mother when some kidnappers intercepted her vehicle at Kabba junction in Kogi state.

Our correspondent learned that only the late speaker’s wife, Hassana and her driver were led off from the scene while the children were left behind.
Meanwhile, in the latest development, the younger brother to the late ex-Edo speaker, on Saturday night said that Hassana had been released unhurt by her abductors.
He, however, said the whereabouts of the driver remained unknown.
Our correspondent reported that Garuba was confirmed dead from an undisclosed ailment in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja.
