BREAKING: Again, Gunmen Raze Police Station, Kill Two Security Operatives
- Unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), again on Sunday, razed Mkpatak Police Station in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
- A source disclosed that one of the police officers was burnt inside his car while the other policeman on a motorcycle was shot by the assailants.
Unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), again on Sunday, razed Mkpatak Police Station in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The assailants were said to have reportedly killed two police officers and twelve cows during the attack.
The latest attack is coming barely 24 hours after five police officers and a police officer’s wife were killed in an attack on Idoro Ikpe Police Station in Ini LGA on Saturday.
A source disclosed that the officers were killed in Ukana Ikot Ntuen while the cows were killed at Afaha Ikot Ebak in the same LGA of the state.

According to the source, one of the officers was burnt inside his car while the other officer on a motorcycle was shot by the assailants.
The source revealed that “two police officers have been killed in Ukana Ikot Ntuen and one was burnt inside his vehicle, while the other one was shot by the bandits. As we speak, the situation is still tensed. They killed 12 cows in Afaha Ikot Ebak Village.”
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the Akwa Ibom State Public Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macdon.
He noted that he is yet to get an official report, adding that the police are following the trend.
