Traditional rulers from Yewa land in the Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State, on Monday, returned to the Senate.
The monarchs, who were led by the Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, stormed the National Assembly to support their representative, Senator Tolu Odebiyi, who sponsored a bill on the establishment of the National Institute for Border Studies, in Imeko, Ogun West Senatorial District.
The Ogun traditional rulers besieged the National Assembly to witness the public hearing organised by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND.

Traditional rulers in attendance include Onimeko of Imeko, Oba Benjamin Olanite Alabi; and the Aboro of Iboroland, Oba Daniel Salako.
Others are Onipokia of Ipokia Yewa, Oba Yisa Adesola Olaniyan; Alagbara of Agbara Yewa, Oba Lukman Jayeola Agunbiade; Eselu of Iselu Yewa, Oba Ebenezer Akintunde Akinyemi; and the Abepa of Joga Orile Yewa, Oba (Dr.) Adeyemi Olanrewaju Adekeye, among others.
Student unions from across the country are also in attendance to give support to the bill.
EKO HOT BLOG had earlier reported that the monarchs stormed the Senate last week Monday in honour of Senator Solomon Adeola who sponsored three bills including the one on the upgrade of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro to a full-fledged university.
