In a show of defiance, irate residents and coalition of Epe division groups took to the streets on Saturday morning, barricading the Ijebu-Ode–Mojoda–Epe Road in protest against the newly imposed tollgate charges introduced by the Ogun State Government.
Eko Hot Blog reports that using tires and wooden planks, the protesters effectively blocked the ever-busy dual carriageway, causing significant disruption to traffic flow and leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.

The protest, which erupted along the Fari Expressway, quickly gained momentum and spread towards Mojoda in Epe, Lagos, further intensifying the already chaotic situation.
In a united display of discontent, the protesters were seen chanting solidarity songs and holding placards aloft, decrying the new tollgate fees.
“I paid N3000 just this early morning. How much are we making that they want to collect everything from us?,” The trailer driver said.
Another commercial driver said, “I am traveling but I will stay here and join them to protest.
