The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has on Tuesday morning announced the commencement of an indefinite strike.
The President of the union, Anderson Ezeibe, announced the commencement of the industrial action at a press briefing in Abuja.
Ezeibe stated that the members of the union have agreed to shut all the Nigerian Polytechnics until their demands are met.
This comes despite the federal government’s move to avert strike action in Polytechnics.
