The remaining 27 students, who were abducted by bandits from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka in Kaduna State, have been released.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the release of the kidnapped students was facilitated by the Sheikh Ahmad Gumi dialogue committee with support from former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The students were among the 39 kidnapped in March by the bandits in Kaduna State.

It would be recalled that between April 5 and April 8, the bandits released 10 of the abducted students, leaving 29 of them in captivity.
The bandits had earlier demanded a N500 million ransom from the Kaduna State Government but after the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, failed to comply, they reached out to some parents of the abducted students.
