Bandits have freed 92 of the 136 pupils of Tegina Islamiyya pupils after 88 days in captivity.
They however held back 44 students.
The freed pupils were brought to Government House, Minna on Friday morning where they are waiting to meet Governor Sani-Bello.

An armed group abducted scores of students from an Islamic school in the northcentral Nigerian state of Niger on Sunday, May 30, 2021, according to authorities.
The bandits reportedly attacked the town of Tegina, in the Rafi local government area of the state, riding on motorcycles and shooting indiscriminately. They then abducted the students from the Salihu Tanko Islamic School.
One person was reportedly killed during the raid and a second person was seriously injured, authorities said.
