BREAKING: Boko Haram Insurgents Attack Yobe Community

Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Yobe community.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that suspected Boko Haram terrorists, in the early hours of Saturday, attacked Katarko village in the Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
It was gathered that the insurgents attacked the community around 8am on Saturday.
A source, who spoke from a hidden place in the community, disclosed that the Boko Haram terrorists drove into the village in a convoy of gun trucks in the early hours of Saturday and shot sporadically.

The source added that the troops stationed in the community engaged the assailants in a gun battle.
Although details of the latest attack remain sketchy as of press time, this online news platform gathered that there was reinforcement by troops of Sector 2 with support from the air component of Operation Hadin Kai.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that Katarko village, which is about 20 kilometers away from Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, had previously suffered from Boko Haram attacks.
