EKO HOT BLOG reports that the president had initially planned to embark on the medical trip from Nairobi, Kenya, after attending the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) at 50 in that country.
Recall that the president’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, had on March 1, in a statement, said that from Kenya, the president would proceed to London for ”routine medical checks that will last for a maximum of two weeks.”

However, another announcement followed shortly that President Buhari has cut short his planned trip and returned to Abuja after the United Nations event in Kenya.
This was made known in a short Twitter statement on Friday afternoon by the President’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad.
The update reads: “President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja, after his participation in the 50th Anniversary of the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi, Kenya.”
The President, however, left the country today Sunday and would be out for weeks.
