President Muhammadu Buhari has postponed Federal Executive Council and the Police Council Meetings.
President Muhammadu Buhari has postponed Federal Executive Council and the Police Council Meetings in furtherance of the authorisation for the national flag to fly at half-mast in honour of the Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru and ten other officers who died in an air crash on Friday.
Buhari earlier authorised that the national flag should be flown half-mast from Monday, 24 May 2021 to Wednesday, 26 May 2021, and also declared 24 May 2021 as a work free day for members of the Armed Forces.
The postponement was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha on Monday.
The President postponed the FEC Meeting which was scheduled to hold on Wednesday 26 2021 May till Wednesday 2 June 2021.
Similarly, Buhari directed that the meeting of the Police Council scheduled for Thursday 27 May, 2021 be postponed till Thursday 3rd June, 2021.
