Buhari Sacks Effiong Akwa, NDDC Sole Administrator

The Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) sole administrator, Effiong Akwa, has been fired by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the NDDC boss was fired without explanation. He was appointed in October.

The President also announced the formation of a new management group and Governing Board of the NDDC in a statement by Patricia Deworitshe, Director of Press for the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.
