Buhari Seeks Senate Approval For Fresh $800m Loan

• Buhari has approached the Senate for their approval on an $800 million loan request.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has implored the Senate to grant approval for a new loan request of $800 million.

During plenary on Wednesday, Senate President Ahmad Lawan read a letter from President Buhari that highlighted plans to use the $800 million loan to expand the National Social Safety Net Programme.

He added that the loan would be sourced from the World Bank.
