BREAKING: Chidinma Speaks On Alleged Murder Of Super TV CEO
- Chidinma has spoken about the alleged murder of the Super TV CEO.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that Chidinma Ojukwu and Adedapo Quadri, the main suspects in the alleged murder of the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, have denied killing the 50-year-old businessman.
Chidinma and Quadri pleaded not guilty to eight counts bordering on the offences of murder, forgery and stealing during their prosecution by the Lagos State Department of Public Prosecution on Tuesday.
The defendants were arraigned alongside Ojukwu’s sister, Egbuchu Chioma from whom the late Ataga’s iPhone 7 was said to have been recovered.
Chioma, however, pleaded not guilty to the ninth count.
Meanwhile, a definite trial resumes in November.
EKOHOTBLOG recalls that the late Super TV CEO was killed on June 15, 2021, at a short-let apartment in Lekki, Lagos where he was reportedly spending a weekend with his lover, Chidinma Ojokwu.
The UNILAG student was consequently arrested on June 23 in her father’s house in Yaba and paraded at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.
It would be further recalled that Chidinma confessed to stabbing the Super TV CEO with a knife under the influence of alcohol and withdrawing N380,000 from the victim’s account with his ATM card.
The UNILAG undergraduate, however, backtracked later in a video, exonerating herself from the murder.
EKO HOT BLOG had reported that Usifo, aged 50, was buried on July 30, 2021, in Lagos State.
