EKO HOT BLOG reports that a Magistrates’ Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, has granted bail to the 49 Yoruba Nation agitators who were arrested by security operatives in the state.
It was gathered that a motion for the arrested agitators’ bail application was filed by human rights lawyers led by Olasupo Ojo and Oladapo Kayode.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that among the Yoruba Nation agitators granted bail by the court on Monday include Olasunkanmi Tanimola; Kabiru Lawanson; Chinemerem Emmanuel; Rasaki Musibau; Lukman Olalade; Olasanmi Oladipupo; Bashiru Shittu; Taofeek Abdusalam; Olamilekan Abata; Abdullahi Sikiru; Tosin Adeleye; Babatunde Lawal.

Others are Abiodun Taiwo, Adagunodo Babatunde, Oluwafemi Adeleye, Oloye Taiwo, Saheed Kareem, Adebayo Waheed, Akinbode Sunday, Lawal Akeem, Samuel Ire, Ogundile Dare, Oba Tajudeen Bakare.
Confirming the latest development, the Communications Manager for the umbrella body of Yoruba Self-Determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye, in a statement on Monday, disclosed that the agitators are to provide N300, 000 with two sureties each.
“One of the sureties must be a family member and the other a community leader or clergy with proof of tax payment,” Adeleye said.It would be recalled that the 49 agitators were arrested at the Gani Fawehimi Freedom Park, Ojota, Lagos, during a Yoruba Nation rally in the state.
