BREAKING: Court Revokes Adebutu’s Nomination As PDP Guber Candidate

The Court of Appeal in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has set aside an earlier judgment of the Federal High Court in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu.

Eko Hot Blog reports that a previous ruling by the Federal High Court in favor of Oladipupo Adebutu, the PDP candidate for governor of Ogun State, has been overturned by the Court of Appeal in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

In a decision on Friday, a three-member panel of the Appeal Court criticised Justice Taiwo Taiwo’s (now retired) decision to reject jurisdiction to hear a lawsuit by Jimi Adebisi Lawal.

In an earlier report, Lawal is challenging the PDP’s utilisation of a delegates’ list as against the list of delegates who were elected at the ward congresses for the conduct of the May 25, 2022, governorship primary election.
