The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Monday relocated to Loko, Nasarawa State, on exile after the announcement of his removal from the throne by the Kano State government, Daily Post reports.
According to reports obtained by Ekohotblog, the deposed emir was relocated because Loko is a very remote area in the state.

The Emir departed the palace in the late hours of Monday and arrived Loko Development Area in Nasarawa Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, at about 2.3am on Tuesday.
The dethroned Emir Sanusi II was said to have made his departure from the Malam Aminu International Airport, Kano, hours after the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Usman Alhaji, announced his dethronement by the state government as the Emir of Kano.
A Daily Trust, “the deposed emir was scheduled to be exiled from Kano to Opanda town in Toto Local Government but there was a change of decision at the last minute.”
“Notable Nigerians like the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage (rtd) personally met Governor Abdullahi Sule and requested for a change of location. “Others who called the governor were Alhaji Aliko Dangote and General Aliyu Gusau amongst others,” the source said.
