BREAKING: DSS Arrests Actor Chiwetalu Agu

  • DSS has arrested Actor Chiwetalu Agu.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that the Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested veteran Nollywood actor, Chinwetalu Agu.

The latest development was made known by a Nigerian writer, Chiagozie Fred Nwonwu, who writes under the pen name Mazi Nwonwu, on Friday.

The arrest of Agu by the DSS is coming a few hours after the Nollywood actor was reported to have been released by troops of the Nigerian Army following his arrest in Anambra State on Thursday.

EKOHOTBLOG had earlier reported that the veteran actor was arrested in Onitsha, Anambra State, for wearing an outfit with colours of the Biafran flag.

Videos of the arrest of the veteran Nollywood actor have since been trending on social media amid wide condemnation of the military.

However, Nwonwu, while speaking on the release of the popular actor on Friday, claimed that Agu, who has since denied claims that he was campaigning for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is still not a free man.

According to Nwonwu, the veteran actor is presently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

“Chiwetalu Agu is still not free.

“He is with DSS now. Colleagues say they are looking for a top lawyer to bail him,” Nwonwu wrote on his known Facebook page on Friday.
