The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended Micheal Lenin, a prominent figure in the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests in Abuja.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that Lenin was arrested around 2 am on Monday at his home in the Apo area by DSS operatives.
Damilare Adenola, Director of Mobilisation for the Take It Back Movement, confirmed the arrest to Punch. He reported that the DSS raided Lenin’s residence and alleged that Lenin was subjected to assault during the arrest.
“Lenin has been apprehended by the DSS following a raid on his home at approximately 2 am,” Adenola said. “He was arrested and mistreated in front of his family. We demand his immediate and unconditional release.”
As of press time, DSS spokesperson Peter Afunanya had not responded to requests for confirmation of the incident.
