The operatives are said to be searching for an individual who issued “a serious threat” against the Vice President’s daughter.

Osinbajo, a former Commissioner of Justice in Lagos, and his wife Dolapo have two daughters, Damilola and Kanyinsola, and a son Fiyinfoluwa. It is unclear which of his daughters was the target of the alleged threat.

However, sources indicate that the individual suspected of issuing the threat is an inmate at the prison and used a mobile phone, which the DSS tracked to the location.

“The officers believe the person they are looking for is in one of the cells or somewhere around the prison,” a source said.

The presence of the DSS operatives at the prison has reportedly caused panic among inmates and staff. However, the DSS has not issued any official statement on the matter. DSS Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, has not respond to the security operatives storming the prison at this moment.

Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison is one of the largest and oldest prisons in Nigeria, housing thousands of inmates.
