The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, EKO HOT BLOG has gathered.
It was gathered that Saraki was arrested by the EFCC over allegations of theft and money laundering.
Sources familiar with the latest development disclosed that the former governor of Kwara State was detained by the anti-graft agency on Saturday.

EKO HOT BLOG recalls that Bukola Saraki, who was the Senate President between 2015 and 2019, had faced allegations of corruption and false declaration of assets.
The former governor was later acquitted by the Supreme Court in June 2018.
Meanwhile, EKO HOT BLOG gathered that Bukola Saraki was arrested by the EFCC on Saturday over alleged theft and laundering of public funds using a network of cronies and proxy companies.
It was learnt that the suspected proxies, who executed purported contracts for Kwara State under Saraki, allegedly made returns to the former governor for many years.
