BREAKING: EFCC Arrests Governor Ganduje’s Wife

EFCC has arrested Governor Ganduje’s wife.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that Hafsat Ganduje, the wife of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a bribery and land fraud case reported by her son, Abdulazeez Ganduje.

The arrest of the governor’s wife is coming weeks after her failure to honour the anti-graft agency’s invitation.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that Mrs Ganduje had earlier been invited to report to the EFCC’s Abuja headquarters on September 13, 2021, but the governor’s wife did not appear, an action which made the anti-graft agency threaten to arrest her.

Sources close to her later disclosed that Ganduje’s wife travelled to the United Kingdom (UK) at the time to attend the graduation ceremony of her son.

The EFCC has been questioning Mrs Ganduje over allegations relating to land fraud in a petition by her own son, Abdualzeez Ganduje.

However, a source familiar with the arrest of the governor’s wife disclosed that “she was arrested this (Monday) evening.”

It was gathered that Ganduje’s wife was still at EFCC headquarters as of 6pm on Monday.
