Breaking: Fears As Governor, Ortom Tests Positive For COVID-19

• The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has tested positive for COVID-19.
• Ortom, however, enjoined the people of the state to follow the COVID-19 protocols religiously.

The latest result of Governor Samuel Ortom’s COVID-19 test has returned positive.

This comes barely few weeks a close aide to the Governor tested positive to the novel virus.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered although the Governor is asymptomatic but has commenced COVID-19 treatment as prescribed by medical personnel.

Terver Akase the Chief Press Secretary, to the Governor also confirmed the development in a statement forwarded to newsmen.

In the statement, the Governor stressed that it is equally important that those who had come in contact  him in the last couple of days to go for test to ascertain their COVID-19 status.

Governor Ortom also urged the people of the state to observe the protocol for the prevention of the virus such as wearing of face masks, use of sanitizers, regular handwashing and physical distancing.

He admonished the people not to be scared of going for COVID-19 test as doing so would help curb the spread of the disease,” the statement added.
