EKO HOT BLOG reports that a former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Brigadier General Dominic Oneya (retd.), has been pronounced dead.
The former NFF President, who hails Delta State, died in the early hours of Thursday.
It was gathered that Oneya gave up the ghost in his home at Effurun GRA in the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
The demise of Oneya was confirmed by the incumbent NFF President, Amaju Pinnick.
“Yes, he is dead,” Pinnick disclosed.
The ex-NFF President was born on May 26, 1948.
Oneya was NFF President from 1999 to 2002.

He hails from Agbarho Kingdom in Ughelli, Delta State.
Oneya served in various capacities in CAF committees and recently headed the Ministerial Committee on Reforms in Nigerian Football
He was also the military administrator of Kano State from 1996 to 1998.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the late army general was the military administrator of Benue State during the reign of Abdulsalami Abubakar between 1998 and 1999.
