EKO HOT BLOG reports that another police station has been attacked by unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The IPOB members were said to have attacked the police station in Izombe in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State on Saturday night.
EKO HOT BLOG understands that the latest attack is coming less than 24 hours after the assailants razed the Atta Police Station in Njaba Local Government Area of the state.
However, four of the suspected IPOB members were killed in a gun battle with security agents.
Confirming the latest development, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer spokesman, Bala Elkana, disclosed that the incident occurred between 7pm and 10pm on Saturday.

“The hoodlums in their number launched an offensive on Izombe Police Station but were repelled by the gallant policemen on duty.
“Four hoodlums were neutralised during the attack while others escaped with bullet wounds,” the police spokesman said.
Elkana added that a mop-up operation is ongoing with a view of arresting other fleeing members of the gang.
