Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, has deleted a tweet on the details of the move to burgle the residence of another Aso Rock official, EKO HOT BLOG has gathered.
This is coming amidst a raging storm on the attempt to rob Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Chief of Staff to President Buhari.
About an hour after he commented on what he described as a “foolish attempt” to rob the CoS residence, Shehu tweeted on a similar incident on the residence of Abdullahi Maikano, an official at the presidency.
An online platform, Peoples Gazette, had reported that both Gambari and Maikano were robbed inside Aso Rock.
The report, which has since been trending online, revealed that armed robbers invaded the Presidential Villa and emptied the residences of Gambari and Maikano.
But Shehu had in a terse statement dismissed the report, saying the CoS residence is outside the seat of power.

“The Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00am this morning but it turned out to be unsuccessful.
“Professor Gambari, whose house is on a street next to the Villa has assured that there is nothing to worry about from the incident.”
Moments later, the presidential spokesman tweeted on the attempt to burgle the residence of Maikano, noting that the suspect behind the incident was captured on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).
But surprisingly, Garba Shehu deleted the tweet which had been retweeted over 200 times and posted a new one which had no information on the CCTV part.
Below is what the presidential spokesman replaced the deleted tweet with.
