BREAKING: Guard Shot Dead As Gunmen Kidnap Catholic Priest In Kaduna

  • Gunmen have kidnapped Catholic priest in Kaduna.

  • The gunmen killed guard and one other during the process of kidnapping the priest.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that gunmen have killed two people and abducted a Catholic Church Reverend Father, Joseph Akeke, at Kudendan community in Kaduna State.

The incident happened around 1am Tuesday when the gunmen invaded the community.

A resident, who simply identified himself as Samson, told Daily Trust that the operations ended around 2:30 am.

He said those killed were the local security guard at the Reverend father’s house, another resident, while a woman and her two children were abducted alongside the cleric.

“We couldn’t sleep last night due to tension and gunshots. The Reverend father of Kudenda Catholic church was abducted. His guard killed. Another man too in the community was killed while a woman and her two children were abducted,” he said.

When contacted, Police spokesman, ASP Jalige Mohammed, said he would find out the details before commenting.
