EKOHOTBLOG reports that unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted a retired National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) Director, Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir, and his 15-year-old daughter, Laila, in Katsina State.
It was gathered that the former NBC Director and his daughter were abducted after the gunmen attacked Bakori Housing Units in the state.
It was further learnt that three other residents were abducted by the bandits who struck around 9pm on Monday.
The latest abduction, EKOHOTBLOG reports, is coming barely 24 hours after the gunmen kidnapped family members of lawmakers in the Katsina State House Assembly.
It was gathered that less than an hour after the abduction of the former NBC Director and four others, vigilantes in the area mobilised and went after the assailants.

The local guards were said to have caught up with the gunmen in Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State, and after an exchange of gunfire, three victims were rescued.
However, Abdulkadir and his daughter were said to have been whisked away to an unknown destination by the bandits.
