A group of armed bandits have reportedly abducted scores of students from Islamiyya school in Mahuta town, Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.
As gathered by Eko Hot Blog, the Islamic students were abducted on their way home after they graced a maulud procession at Unguwar Al-Kasim, a nearby village.

The precise number of the kidnapped students is yet to be ascertained, but the vigilante groups in the community are already piecing together a rescue operation.
The Katsina State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isah, who was contacted to speak on the incident said he was out of the state on an official assignment and could not comment on the issue.
The attack comes on the heels of the release of 344 students who were abducted from Government Science College, Kankara, Katsina State.
