EKO HOT BLOG reports that two worshippers were abducted by gunmen who stormed a Celestial Church of Christ branch in Wasimi, Ewekoro Local Government Area (LGA) of Ogun State.
The attack took place around 11 p.m. on Monday, according to a source.
Oluwaseun Ajose, the parish’s Assistant Shepherd, and Dagunro Ayobami, a Sunday school teacher, were among the victims. According to sources, the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N50 million.
A joint security team of police and local vigilantes has been combing the forest in the area.

When contacted, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun State, said he was unaware of the case. He did promise, however, to inquire of the local DPO about the incident.
Kidnapping is a national security issue in Nigeria, and the current wave of kidnappings makes everyone a target, regardless of social class or economic status.
