BREAKING: Gunmen Attack Popular Market, Kill Three, Injure Others

• Gunmen have attacked popular market, killed three persons and injured others.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that no fewer than three persons were shot dead when gunmen attacked popular Anara market in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.

It was gathered that the incident which occurred around 10pm on Tuesday, left many people wounded following gunshot injuries they sustained from the attack.

Eyewitnesses told The Nation that the gunmen in a white Sienna vehicle stormed the market and opened fire, killing three people.

Among the deceased were two Igbo and a northerner selling suya at the junction of the daily market.

“The gunmen were in white Sienna vehicle. As they arrived the market, they just opened fire and shot dead three people and several others were wounded from the gunshots, the three people died immediately,” the eyewitness told The Nation.

“Nobody knows why they attacked the market, they arrived and started shooting at the people sporadically, people scampered for safety, some people fell on top of each other,” another witness said.
