BREAKING: Gunmen Kidnap Ekiti Monarch

• The Obadu of Ilemeso-Ekiti in Oye Local Government of Ekiti State, Oba David Oyewumi, has been abducted by unknown gunmen.
• The latest abduction came barely a week after the Elewu of Ewu, in Ilemeje Local Government of the state, Oba Adetutu Ajayi, was attacked by the gunmen.

The Obadu of Ilemeso-Ekiti in Oye Local Government of Ekiti State, Oba David Oyewumi, has been abducted by unknown gunmen.

Oba Oyewumi was said to have been abducted in his palace by gunmen who scaled the fence, shot sporadically into the air and made away with him.

The latest abduction came barely a week after the Elewu of Ewu, in Ilemeje Local Government of the state, Oba Adetutu Ajayi, was attacked by the gunmen.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relation Officer, Ekiti State Police Command, Mr Sunday Abutu, saying “it happened yesterday in his palace”.

The police spokesperson added that necessary steps have been taken to rescue the Monarch and apprehend the culprits.

However, nothing has been heard from the kidnappers as of the time of filing this report.
