BREAKING: Gunmen Set High Court, Police Station Ablaze
- Unknown gunmen have reportedly set a High Court and another police station ablaze.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that gunmen have set the Atta Divisional Police Headquarters in the Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State ablaze.
The gunmen, it was gathered, also razed the Atta Magistrate and High Court and vandalized the community’s health centre.
EKO HOT BLOG further learnt that the attack, which occurred between 1 and 2am on Saturday, had thrown the area into panic.
Community sources revealed that the gunmen shot sporadically for close to an hour before razing the government facilities in the area.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the crown prince of the community, Remigiius Azike, saying the attack occurred when the villagers had gone to bed on Saturday.
Also, a former President-General of the community, John Agbaso, said the community was in pain, adding that the latest attack came barely after one week the house of the incumbent President-General of the community, Chijioke Duruonyeokwu, was set ablaze by assailants with his wife killed.
The Imo State Police Spokesperson, Bala Elkana, when contacted, said he had not been briefed.
