BREAKING: Gunshots As Hoodlums Disrupt NLC Protest In Kaduna

The ongoing protest by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Kaduna State has been disrupted by hoodlums on Tuesday, EKO HOT BLOG has gathered.

The protest held at the NEPA roundabout, Ahmadu Bello Way area of the state, was brought to an abrupt end as some hoodlums wielding matchets and sticks stormed the protest scene on Tuesday.

Security operatives are still at the protest scene to maintain law and order as of the time of writing this report.

The NLC protesters had gathered to protest Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s sacking of workers in the state.

Earlier in their address, the affiliate unions expressed their support for the NLC in its struggle.

They expressed displeasure over the action of Governor El-Rufai for not following the down process of relieving the workers of their jobs.

The unions further resolved that they would not surrender until their demands were met, adding that the failure of the Kaduna State Governor to meet the demands of the workers, would lead to a nationwide strike.
