EKO HOT BLOG reports that the residents of Tungan-Maje community in Abuja were thrown into panic as unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers attacked the community on Wednesday night.
The latest attack, EKO HOT BLOG reports, is coming barely 48 hours after the assailants abducted six residents of the area.
Speaking on the Wednesday attack, a resident of the Abuja community, Abdullahi Aliyu, disclosed that the gunmen stormed the area in their large numbers around 10:48 pm shooting sporadically into the air.
The source disclosed that the unknown gunmen invaded Anguwar Dabiri and Anguwar Samu in the Tungan-Maje community.
EKO HOT BLOG further gathered that some soldiers, who were secretly deployed to the outskirts of the community, engaged the gunmen in a gun battle, forcing the assailants to flee.

“In fact, the kidnappers returned in an attempt to attack some houses at Anguwar Dabiri and Anguwar Samu, but for the swift intervention of some soldiers.
“They [soldiers] foiled the kidnap attempt as they engaged them [kidnappers] fire for fire until they fled,” the resident revealed.
EKO HOT BLOG, however, reports that the spokesperson of the FCT police command, ASP Maryam Yusuf, had yet to react to the incident as of the time of filing this report.
