Breaking!!! Hope Rekindles As Lagos Missing Nurse Is Discovered In Osun State

Published

on

There was a heave of relief when a Lagos nurse, Ayomide Alao, who was allegedly declared missing in Bariga Area of Lagos State, was found fourteen days after resting in a hotel in the Ipetumodu-Okuku,  Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State.

It was gathered that while she was in the hotel, Ayomide allegedly refused to respond to calls and messages demanding to know where she was.

It is revealed that the 28-year-old Ayomide left the house for work in Lagos on June 14 but failed to return home as calls to her phone fell flat. A thorough search for her by the family members proved abortive, which prompted her brother, Olabunmi, to report the case to the Bariga Police Division, where the investigation into her disappearance commenced immediately.

In the course of carrying out the investigation, she was traced to Osun State, where she was found in a hotel. It was gathered that when she was asked what she went to do in a hotel, she revealed that she did not how she found herself in the hotel and failed to provide any genuine reason why she left home and why she refused to pick her calls when they were desperately searching for her.

Our correspondent gathered that during the inquiry, it was separately revealed by the two Managers of the hotel where she lodged during the period that Ayomide was not accompanied by anybody when she visited their facilities.

In his reaction, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana said Ayomide went missing for 14 days, adding that the case was reported to their station on June 16, 2020, around 10.40 am and all efforts to trace her were futile.

In their bid to establish the actual cause of the Ayomide’s escapade, the two managers of Anis’ Hotel and Jolade’s Hotel where she stayed for 14 days while at Ipetumodu-Okoko town in Osun State, were invited to help provide concrete information that would help in ascertaining the true cause of the disturbing incidence.

The case was eventually transferred to Area H Command Headquarters for further investigation.
