- The House of Reps has been thrown into a rowdy session.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the House of Representatives was on Thursday thrown into a rowdy session over the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB).
It was gathered that trouble started at the lower chamber on Thursday after some lawmakers protested against the alleged reduction in the approved percentage accruing to host communities.
EKO HOT BLOG recalls that the House of Reps had earlier voted 5% for host communities in the PIB while the Senate passed 3%.

However, the House was thrown into a rowdy session when a PDP lawmaker, Chinyere Igwe, protested by shouting on top of his voice over the alleged reduction of the percentage for host communities from 5% to 3% after the conference committee of both the Senate and the House of Representatives harmonised the document.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that even when the Speaker of the House, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, arrived at the chamber and took his seat, the rowdy session persisted forcing Gbajabiamila to ask the House to go for an executive session.
