The house of representatives says it has resolved to summon President Muhammadu Buhari over the massacre at Zabarmari in Borno state.
The resolution is sequel to the motion by house members from Borno state who insisted that the president must appear before the lower legislative chamber over the perennial insecurity bedeviling the nation.
Over 40 farmers in Zabarmari in Jele local government area of Borno state were killed on November 28, 2020.
The farmers were attacked by suspected members of the Boko Haram sect while working on their farms.
The incident has sparked outrage both within and outside Nigeria with many calling for the dismissal of the service chiefs.
