EKOHOTBLOG reports that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered “detailed” investigations into the reported invasion of the residence of Supreme Court Judge, Justice Mary Odili, in the Maitama area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The latest development was made known via a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, on Monday.

Recall that the residence of the Supreme Court Judge at lmo Rivers Street in Maitama was reported to have been raided by fully armed plain-clothed security men for undisclosed reasons at about 5pm on Friday, October 29, 2021.
The security men were said to consist of soldiers and officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) who identified themselves as members of a joint task force.
This was just as the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) denied involvement in the raid of the residence of Supreme Court Judge.
However, the IGP, while reacting to the invasion, stated that the “leadership of the Force is not aware and did not at any time order Police operatives to carry out such assignment”.
Baba further described the violation of the sanctity of the residence of the Justice of the Supreme Court as “unfortunate and unacceptable”.
