EKOHOTBLOG reports that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has suspended the every Monday sit-at-home order in the South-East region of the country.
The IPOB Head of Directorate of States (DOS), Chika Edoziem, made this known on their radio programme on Friday.
It would be recalled that IPOB had threatened a weekly lockdown of the South-East geopolitical zone every Monday until Nnamdi Kanu is released from DSS custody.
The IPOB leader, EKO HOT BLOG recalls, was arrested in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria.
Kanu has been in the DSS custody over charges bothering on treasonable felony since July 2021.
However, Edoziem, on Friday, said the sit-at-home order would be declared whenever Nnamdi Kanu will be making an appearance in court and not every Monday as earlier directed.
He said, “I wish to announce this very evening, that as directed by the highest command of this noble movement, our Monday Ghost Town or sit-at-home in Biafra land, stands suspended for now.

”The weekly sit-at-home stands suspended, which means in the coming Monday, there will be no Ghost Town in Biafraland.
“Our sit-at-home will be on each court date when our leader, Onye Ndu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be appearing in court,” Edoziem said.
