The first lawyer from the Northern parts of Nigeria was confirmed dead in the early hours of Saturday.
The father of Kwara Governor, Alh. Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrasaq popularly known as AGF, is dead.
Abdulrasaq, who is also the first lawyer from the Northern parts of the country died in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja.
He passed on less than four months to his 93rd birthday, according to a family member, Dr Alimi AbdulRazaq, who announced his passage.

Abdulrasaq was the first Kwara Commissioner of Finance upon the creation of the state in 1967.
The former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire also worked at the Nigerian Stock Exchange for a number of decades.
He is survived by his wife; Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq; Dr. Alimi Abdulrasaq, a former Executive Director of NNPC; Isiaka Abdulrasaq; Sen. Khairat Gwadabe and a former First Lady of Kwara State, Hajiya Aishat Lawal
